Country-specific guidance
Do not assume an EHCP, US IEP or another country's process applies here. Use the local education framework and current official guidance.
Different routes
Support is not represented by one single plan. Depending on need, schools and families may encounter PPRE, PAP, PAI or PPS.
Start with the need
Ask the school which pathway is being considered, what evidence supports it, what adjustments will be implemented and how progress will be reviewed.
Disability pathway
Where a disability situation requires a PPS, the MDPH/CDAPH framework is relevant. Families should check current official departmental information.
