What is a PAP in France?

A PAP is a personalised support plan used for certain specific language and learning disorders, supported by medical advice.

Country-specific guidance

Do not assume an EHCP, US IEP or another country's process applies here. Use the local education framework and current official guidance.

Purpose

The PAP can set out educational adjustments and adaptations, including arrangements that may also apply to examinations.

Who is involved

Official guidance describes the family and teaching team as involved, under the leadership of the school director or head.

Do not confuse

A PAP is not the same as a PPS. A PPS is associated with a disability situation recognised through the MDPH/CDAPH process.
