Preparing for a school support meeting in Germany
Because procedures differ by Land, preparation should focus first on the child’s needs, evidence and the school’s proposed support.

Country-specific guidance
Do not assume an EHCP, US IEP or another country's process applies here. Use the local education framework and current official guidance.
Bring evidence
Take recent schoolwork, reports, relevant professional information and a short list of the barriers affecting learning or participation.
Ask specific questions
Ask what support is already in place, what will change, who is responsible, how progress will be measured and which Land rule or local procedure applies.
After the meeting
Write down agreed actions, dates and responsible people. Ask for written confirmation of formal decisions and information about any applicable review or challenge route.
