A CSP should remain a live plan. At review, check the needs requiring significant additional support, the educational objectives, the support from different agencies and who is responsible for coordinating it.

Scotland uses the Additional Support for Learning framework. A Co-ordinated Support Plan (CSP) is not the Scottish equivalent of an EHCP for every learner; it has specific statutory criteria.

Prepare for the review

Bring the current CSP, recent evidence, notes of provision delivered and concerns about progress or coordination.

During the review

Ask whether the plan still meets the statutory criteria and whether objectives, agency support or coordination arrangements need amendment.

After the review

Keep the written outcome. If you disagree with specified CSP decisions, check whether the matter can be referred to the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (Health and Education Chamber).
