EHCP annual review checklist for parents
Use the annual review to check current needs, progress toward outcomes, whether provision is working and whether the plan needs changing.
Processes can change. Check current official guidance and local procedures.
Before the review
- Read the current EHCP from Sections A to K.
- List what has changed since the last review.
- Compare Section F with support actually being delivered.
- Gather recent reports and examples of progress or difficulty.
- Write down changes you want considered.
During the review
Keep discussion tied to needs, outcomes and provision. For young people approaching adulthood, transition planning should also be considered where relevant.
